The Birthday Cake Matcha Latte is our way of celebrating the month it all began. March marks both the original launch of More Than Matcha and the start of our new chapter with the rebrand, so of course we had to make a drink that feels like a celebration. Sweet vanilla and soft almond notes create that nostalgic birthday cake flavor, topped with our creamy cold foam and sprinkles to finish. This is your official invitation to celebrate with us!

The Recipe

INGREDIENTS

1.5 tbsp vanilla syrup (+1 tbsp for cold foam)

1/4 tsp almond extract (+1/4 tsp for cold foam)

1/2 cup milk of choice (+1 tbsp for cold foam)

1/4 cup heavy cream

Pinch of salt

1.5 tsp more than matcha

1/4 cup hot water

Birthday Cake Matcha Latte

Prepare Your Base: In a cup over ice, pour in 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 tsp almond extract, and 1.5 tbsp vanilla syrup. Stir together until combined.

Prepare the Matcha: Sift 1.5 tsp of our matcha powder into a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of hot, filtered water (160°F). Whisk until microfoam top layer forms.

Birthday Cake Matcha Latte

Prepare Your Cold Foam: In a separate cup, froth 1/4 cup heavy cream, 1 tbsp milk, 1/4 tsp almond extract, 1 tbsp vanilla syrup, and a pinch of salt until thick.

Form Your Drink: Pour matcha over your milk base and top with your cold foam and some optional sprinkles to garnish. Enjoy!
