The Strawberry Shortcake Matcha Latte was created to celebrate our Miami pop-up with SET Active, inspired by the dreamy summer tones of their Club Set drop. This drink brings that same energy to life - playful, fruity, and indulgent. With layers that feel both nostalgic and elevated, it’s a sweet, dessert-inspired matcha moment that lets you recreate the pop-up experience from the comfort of your own home.

The Recipe

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp strawberry sauce (1 cup strawberries, 2-3 tbsp cane sugar, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract) OR substitute with your favorite strawberry jam

2 tsp more than matcha

1/4 cup hot water

1/2 cup milk of choice

Cold foam: 2 tbsp heavy cream, 1 tbsp milk, 1 tsp powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, pinch of sea salt

Shortcake crumble topping: 2-3 shortbread cookies, 1 tbsp freeze dried strawberries

Strawberry Shortcake Matcha

Prepare the Strawberry Sauce: Combine all strawberry sauce ingredients into a pot, mash and stir together on low to medium heat until thickened sauce forms

Prepare the Matcha: Sift 2 tsp of more than matcha powder into a bowl. Add ¼ cup of hot, filtered water (160°F). Whisk until microfoam top layer forms.

Prepare the Cold Foam: Froth cold foam ingredients together until thick, creamy consistency is created

Strawberry Shortcake Matcha

Prepare Your Drink: Add 2 tbsp of strawberry sauce (or your favorite strawberry jam) into cup over ice, then add 1/2 cup milk and your matcha on top. Pour cold foam over.

Optional (but highly recommended) Garnish: Crush shortcake cookies and freeze dried strawberries together and sprinkle on top of latte. Enjoy!
